The New
Record of the Marathon is set in men's concurrence
| More then 45 open water
swimmers in the main race took part in the 6th edition of this popular
event in the gorge of Z.Morava River near the City of Cacak (Serbia). More
then 2,500 spectators along the Rivers banks from the Monastery of St.
Nikolje to the bridge over the river in Ovcar Spa supported competitors
of all ages. The oldest athletes was Mr.Milorad Petrovic (1938)
from Trstenik, Serbia and the youngest Kristina Despic (1996) from
Cigota, Zlatibor. |

THE
SPARKLES FROM 2006 RACE
INVITATION
One of the most popular and well known Open Water Swim event in Serbia
the "Cacak Mini Marathon" is going to be held for the 6th time on August
02, 2006 on the holly Ilindan Day of the Serbian Orthodox Church. This
event will be organized at the most picturesque and holy part of the Republic
of Serbia (the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge of Zapadna Morava River). Two races will
be held at the distances as follows: 500 m (for younger athletes)
and the 2100 m (the main event in absolute category). |

| It is expected that more then 50
competitors will take part in the main event. Prof. Dragan Savkovic,
the Marathon Director, the Cacak Sport Center and the Tourist organization
of Cacak, Assembly of the town of Cacak and "Cacak" Swimming Club invite
all participants from the wide Region of the Balkan as well as other European
countries to come to this open water swimming event. The organizer has
announced that the reward fund is definitely assured, and that the prize
for winners (both in men and women concurrence), beside the worthy Cacak
Trophy will be also in cash. |

Po sesti put, na sveti srpski praznik Sv. Iliju (2. Avgusta 2006.god.),
Medjunarodna
Ilindanska plivacka manifestacija “Mini maraton Cacak 2006”
odrzce
se u sjajnim uslovima u jednom od najlepsih i najduhovnijih krajolika centralne
Srbije Ovcarsko-Kablarskoj klisuri, na reci Zapadna Morava. Od manastira
Sv.Nikolje (gde ce biti start) pa uzvodno do mosta u centru Ovcar Banje,
bice odrzane dve trke: 'Trka zadovoljstva' na distanci od 500 m
za mlajde (pionirske) kategorije i glavna Maratonska trka na distaci
od 2100 m. Ucesce je najavilo ove godine preko 50 takmicara svih
uzrasnih kategorija. Dobrodosli u Ovcar Banju na Sv. Iliju... Ocekuju vas
sportski prijatelji iz Cacka ! |
